The cost of a course depends on the number of hours nominated for each unit of competency, the type of study involved and whether the course is subsidised by the government or is fee-for-service.
Each government-subsidised course has a set fee based on the nominated hours for each unit. Fees vary between courses depending on the nature of the course. In general, Award Courses applied for through SATAC are subsidised by the government.
Depending on the course, there may be an additional charge for materials, textbooks and uniforms. Details of all fees for government-subsidised and fee-for-service courses are available prior to enrolment from program or enrolment offices.
Charges vary between courses and subjects and are based on a rate per hour. Concessions may be available to holders of certain government concession cards, and in some circumstances fees may be paid by instalment. A brochure detailing the refund of fees policy is available at each campus. Students are generally expected to purchase their own textbooks, personal equipment, uniforms and stationery.
