TAFE SA recognises that VET in Schools programs are integral to helping students achieve their goals and transition from school to further education, training and employment.
We will continue to maintain strong partnerships with schools through VET in Schools Agreements (VISA Schedules), TGSS, SBA and other delivery/assessment models that support the VET in SACE strategic purpose.
VET In Schools Agreements (VISA/MAA)
TAFE SA seeks to work with schools, offering VET in schools to promote pathways to further training and employment through VET in Schools Agreements.
A VET in Schools Agreement (VISA) is a negotiated agreement where qualified teachers deliver and assess nationally recognised training within the school environment in partnership with TAFE SA.
The VISA/MAA document itself outlines the role, responsibilities and obligations of the school and TAFE SA to the agreement. VET in School Agreements are for the period 1st January 2012 – 31st December 2014. Only one VISA/MAA is required per school, and the document must be signed by the school Principal and the TAFE SA delegate.
A VISA Schedule Spreadsheet is a sub-agreement to the VISA/MAA and lists the:
- Units of competency that the school will deliver and assess in partnership with TAFE SA
Contact details for the parties to the agreement
A separate VISA Schedule Spreadsheet must be negotiated for each training area to be delivered and assessed in a school.
