The Smart eSkills for Small Business range of free small business workshops and online sessions will assist you to effectively run and promote your business in the digital world.
The tailored training sessions, unique to your small business, will provide you with the skills to start or improve your online presence, enhance business processes and increase your exposure to potential new customers.
Smart eSkills for Small Business Training options include:
Get your business online
One-day workshop, a one-hour individual consultation and two online sessions (1.5 - 2hrs each)
- An expert will take you through an introduction to the online marketplace, tips for web site design, how to brief a web developer, using your web site to source new business and reduce your costs, an introduction to using Wordpress to design your own site plus much more!
- Individual consultation sessions will be provided to each participant to commence the planning and implementation of an online presence.
- Online sessions will provide you more training and support as you implement the ideas and concepts from the workshop and individual consultations.
- The online sessions will start approximately 1 week after the workshop
Transact with your customers online
One-day workshop and two online sessions (1.5 - 2hrs each)
- An expert will take you website and e-commerce strategy development, the top ten tips for doing business online, using online auctions and PayPal, how to set up online payment methods, fraud, security and privacy issues and much more.
- Online sessions will supplement the training provided in the workshop to help you implement your online marketing strategy.
- The online sessions will start approximately 1 week after the workshop
Grow your business using email
One-day workshop and one online session (1.5 – 2 hrs)
- Come and learn how to use email to grow your business, why use email? Is email dead? Does direct email marketing pay? How to implement an email marketing campaign, how to use free email marketing software to implement your campaign, writing email copy that looks great and promotes a positive image of your business, the basics of how email works, email formats (html, plain text), spam and avoiding the junk email box plus more.
- The online session will give further instruction and support for you to start your email marketing campaign.
Gather customer data through your website
Two online sessions (1.5 - 2hrs each)
- An expert will take you through online sessions on the use of tools and web forms for gathering data and how to create your own web form attached to your website.
Gather competitor and product information from the internet
Two online sessions (1.5 - 2hrs each)
- An expert will take you through online sessions on how to gather data about your competitors, your product/service, global and local trends from the internet, demonstrating a range of tools and methods.
Using social networking tools to promote your business
Two online sessions (1.5 - 2hrs each)
- An expert will take you through how free social networking tools such as facebook, twitter and YouTube can be used to promote your business and stay in touch with your clients.
