Enrolling help using myTAFESA

Step by Step Guide – First time login, enrol for classes and pay your fees

  1. Go to https://my.tafesa.edu.au


  2. Click on “Student Login”.

  3. Login using your myTAFESA User ID and PIN.

  4. Change your PIN.

  5.  Set your security question and answer.

  6.  Select the correct Registration Term and click “Submit”.



  7. Answer the questions on the “Pre-Enrolment Checklist” pages, and then:

    • click on “Save and Continue”, to save your answers and proceed to the next page;

      or 

    • click on “No – Proceed to the next section”, if your circumstances is such that you do not need to provide any details for a particular section.

  9. On the “Enrol – Add or Drop Classes” page, tick the boxes next to the CRNs (classes) you wish to enrol into.

    If your TAFE SA Campus has provided you with a list of CRNs, you can enter these yourself instead of selecting them from the list.  To do this, click on "Manage Enrolments" (red arrow) and skip to step 8b.

    8a.     Once you have completed selecting your CRNs, click on “Enrol/Register”, then go to step 9.

    8b.     On the “Manage Enrolments” page, enter your CRNs into the boxes provided. Once you have done this, click on “Submit Changes”.

    You can enter up to 10 CRNs at once. If you have more than 10 CRNs you wish to register for, you will be able to enter more at step 12.

  10.  In some cases you may be required to enter the Start Date for the classes.  If required, then, key a date within the "Permitted Start Date" range in the "Start Date" field, then click "Submit Changes".

  11. The classes you have enrolled into will be displayed under “Current Schedule” – check to ensure that you have enrolled into the correct classes (refer to the CRN list attached to your Welcome Letter or provided by the campus during enrolment session).

  12. If you wish to remove a class from your schedule, in the “Action” column, select “Drop Class”, then click “Submit Changes”.

  13. Review the updated “Current Schedule” list.

    If you have more CRNs you wish to register for, you can enter them in the “CRNs” boxes at this point, then click “Submit Changes

    Once you are happy that you have enrolled into the correct classes, click “Finish”.

  14. Your fees will be displayed on the “Account Detail for Term” page. To make a payment, click on “Pay Now”. Except where you wish to apply for Fees by Instalment or are eligible for fee concessions, you must pay your fees within 7 days (due date is indicated on the invoice, which will be available within 48 hours after your enrolment). Payment may be made online using a credit card or through Australia Post.

  15. Confirm the payment amount and click “Submit”.

  16.  Enter your credit card details – make sure that there are no spaces or dashes between the numbers, then click “Submit Payment”.

  17. The “Credit Card Transaction Results” will be displayed once payment has been processed (whether successful or not). You may wish to print a copy of this page for your future reference.

    You have now successfully enrolled into your classes and paid your fees.

  18. You may sign out or proceed to view other functions within the myTAFESA website by clicking on “Home”, and then on “Student” or “Personal Information”
