The SolarSpirit team has built TAFE's new generation solar car
TAFE SA has a very successful track record in the World Solar Challenge since 2000. With the latest technology available, the SolarSpirit team has built the new entry through student projects integrated with their curriculum work.
To be competitive and run the most efficient solar car in the next WSC, TAFE SA is seeking sponsorship partners to invest in the project. This will enable students to work with the most current components and materials available, maximising their educational outcomes and lifting brand awareness on the world stage for our sponsors.
A team of TAFE SA Electrical and Engineering students have designed and produced the solar car SolarSpirit Australia, and are racing in the 2011 World Solar Challenge this week.
As the sole South Australian entrant, SolarSpirit Australia will travel 3000 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide using power only from the sun, competing against teams from around the world.
