The SolarSpirit team has built TAFE's new generation solar car
TAFE SA has a very successful track record in the World Solar Challenge since 2000. With the latest technology available, the SolarSpirit team has built the new entry through student projects integrated with their curriculum work.
A team of TAFE SA Electrical and Engineering students have designed and produced the solar car SolarSpirit Australia, and are racing in the 2013 World Solar Challenge from 6 to 13 October 2013.
Our students work with the most current components and materials available, maximising their educational outcomes.
As the sole South Australian entrant, SolarSpirit Australia will travel 3000 kilometres from Darwin to Adelaide using power only from the sun, competing against teams from around the world. Check their progress at the Solar Car blog.
