Award Courses - SATAC application process
- Applications for Semester 1 2009 must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.
- Applications for Places Available courses are made direct to the relevant campus and a separate application is required for each course an applicant wants to study.

| This course is physically and intellectually rigorous with an overwhelming emphasis on practice. Applications and changes of preference to include this course for the first time will not be guaranteed equal consideration after 28 November 2008. Applicants are required to attend an Audition. An Audition Registration Pack will be sent to applicants by the campus following course application to SATAC. Advanced Diploma of Arts (Acting)
Skills covered are those required to work as professional actors in theatre, film, television and related industries including intensive study of acting; voice (including singing); movement (including dance); and historical, theoretical and technical theatre elements. Theatre projects develop throughout the course leading to full-scale productions marketed to the public in the third year.

Award Courses - SATAC application process
- Satisfactory performance in an audition
- Satisfactory completion of SACE Stage 2 (or equivalent)
- Satisfactory completion of SACE Stage 1 (or equivalent) and 1 year full time equivalent work experience in any area
- Any Certificate II in same area
- Any Certificate III
- Satisfactory achievement in the TAFE SA Assessment of Basic Skills (TABS)
- 2 years full time equivalent work experience in any area

Qualification/Certification
Successful completion of this course provides you with the Advanced Diploma of Arts (Acting). Students who successfully complete only one or more units of competency within this Qualification will receive a Statement of Attainment.
Fees
Charges vary between courses and subjects and are based on a rate per hour. Concessions may be available to holders of certain government concession cards, and in some circumstances fees may be paid by instalment. A brochure detailing the refund of fees policy is available at each campus. The standard TAFE SA fee for State Government-subsidised courses undertaken by students enrolled in two consecutive semesters is capped at $2050 in 2009. This fee cap does not apply to all courses.
Students are generally expected to purchase their own textbooks, personal equipment, uniforms and stationery.
