Successful applicants are required to commence at Certificate II level unless they demonstrate the core competencies of Certificate II in Information Technology by either successful completion of Certificate II equivalency test, relevant work experience or study. Expected Employment Outcome Example
This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in designing, developing and utilising basic multimedia briefs either as an independent ICT specialist or as part of a team. A graduate could work in a number of areas in the broad ICT and multimedia industries.
Possible job roles include multimedia designer; 3D animator; digital media specialist; web designer; games developer.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.

This course teaches a broad range of skills in the design and development of multimedia productions and websites including: Design and development of websites with multimedia content; Design and development of multimedia productions; Image capture and download, image editing and manipulation; Graphic design and digital illustration; 2D animation; Managing multimedia projects; A number of other specialised technical skills are taught.

Award - SATAC application process
- Applications for the 2012 Intake must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian
Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.

Fees
Charges vary between courses and subjects and are based on a rate per hour. Concessions may be available to holders of certain government concession cards, and in some circumstances fees may be paid by instalment. A brochure detailing the refund of fees policy is available at each campus.
The standard TAFE SA fee for State Government-subsidised courses undertaken by students enrolled in two consecutive semesters is capped at $2,210 in 2011. This fee cap does not apply to all courses.
Students are generally expected to purchase their own textbooks, personal equipment, uniforms and stationery.
