Graduates of the Diploma of Wine and Food are working in the areas of: Cellar Door Sales, Wine marketing, Guest Management, Function management and Fine Wine Sales

Skills Covered
Certificate IV in Food and Wine Operations
Developed by the wine, food and tourism Industries to give students an innovative opportunity to undertake advanced studies focussing on the exciting and economically advantageous areas of regional wine, food and tourism. Studies include sensory evaluation of food and wine, basic winemaking and food processing and preservation.
Diploma of Food and Wine Management and Operations
Students are given the opportunity to apply wine, food and tourism knowledge to management and marketing planning and development, strategic planning and promotion, problem solving strategies for wine and food enterprises, creative marketing possibilities, research and planning

Award - SATAC application process
- Applications for the 2012 Intake must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian
Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.

Fees
Charges vary between courses and subjects and are based on a rate per hour. Concessions may be available to holders of certain government concession cards, and in some circumstances fees may be paid by instalment. A brochure detailing the refund of fees policy is available at each campus.
The standard TAFE SA fee for State Government-subsidised courses undertaken by students enrolled in two consecutive semesters is capped at $2,210 in 2011. This fee cap does not apply to all courses.
Students are generally expected to purchase their own textbooks, personal equipment, uniforms and stationery.
