Expected Employment Outcome Example
This Diploma of Viticulture Management incorporating Certificate IV in Viticulture is a technical qualification developed to upskill existing vineyard workers to take on, or continue in, the role of vineyard supervisor or manager.
Note: Completion of a TAFE SA course does not guarantee an employment outcome. Formal requirements other than educational qualifications (eg licensing, professional registration), may apply to some occupations.
Skills Covered
Certificate IV in Viticulture
Managing vineyards for quality outcomes; vine nutrition; supervising work activities and staff; analysing production data; managing soils; sustainable land use; irrigation system maintenance and irrigation monitoring and scheduling; and managing teams.
Diploma of Viticulture Management
Quality assurance programs; machinery management; long-term pest, disease and weed management; vineyard restructuring; business planning; monitoring business performance; environmental impacts and performance; and managing teams.

Application Selection
Award - SATAC application process
- Applications for the 2012 Intake must be made through the centralised TAFE Admissions system via SATAC (South Australian
Tertiary Admissions Centre) by the advertised date.
- Applicants can make one application for up to six course preferences.

Fees
Charges vary between courses and subjects and are based on a rate per hour. Concessions may be available to holders of certain government concession cards, and in some circumstances fees may be paid by instalment. A brochure detailing the refund of fees policy is available at each campus.
The standard TAFE SA fee for State Government-subsidised courses undertaken by students enrolled in two consecutive semesters is capped at $2,210 in 2011. This fee cap does not apply to all courses.
Students are generally expected to purchase their own textbooks, personal equipment, uniforms and stationery.
